This kind of new story always terrifies me… I am airline cabin crew and on almost every Sydney trip some of my colleagues visit Bondi Beach. My thoughts and prayers are with any victims and I hope my colleagues are all safe.

Oh John Lewis you rotters! Finally got a nice Christmas tree this year, and 90 baubles to adorn it. Little did I know I would have to tie the bloody string to every single one. Screw Christmas and screw you - this is going to take me forever!

Just gone for a swim in Singapore, now I’m sitting by the pool to let my shorts dry. Thought I would listen to the Official Chart UK Top 40 on Spotify and the day has come where I have to create my own playlist to remove the premature Christmas tunes!!!

Yesterday I signed off the first draft of Chapter 20 of Self Portrait. I’ve written just over 21,000 words out of a target of 25,000 so to hit the target I need to write a 4,000 word chapter in 5?days. Will I succeed? Watch this space… also been to the gym.

In terms of exercise, I didn’t do very well yesterday. Today, I just made myself burn 1000 calories in the swimming pool. Didn’t enjoy it but really glad I did it! (distance measurement is wrong, no GPS between the buildings but it was at least twice that!)

These are my swimming stats from two days ago… I started swimming three weeks ago and I’m already doing on average seven more lengths in the same time than I was three weeks ago, which feels like progress.

On my driving route into work, there is an upcycling studio. It has been there for at least a year and I’ve never bothered to go in. So I’m going to take a look on the way home later, I wonder if I will end up regretting that? (Find out tomorrow!)

I have several vinyl albums I’ve bought but haven’t listened to yet. Today I listened to Nemo’s album Arthouse. They won Eurovision in 2024 with The Code and this collection of songs doesn’t disappoint, loved it.
