Hey @chrisbowenmp.bsky.social
Number One key requirement at all future COP's
-Fossil fuel lobbyists muct be banned !

Correct. Funding should be increased.
However, a shake-up & 're-balancing priorities' is actually healthy and would result in better outcomes

The science & CSIRO budget should be increased.

However, knowing academics & researchers, imho, a regular shake-up is also essential.

Hey @chrisbowenmp.bsky.social @jimchalmers.bsky.social
Often not highlighted, not recognised by economists:- this is once in 100 year transition.
Australia will benefit hugely from ridiculously cheap renewable power in upcoming years.
Hence electricity support for next few years totally justified!

Really is amazing how long Toyota continue and dont get the message. Not complimentary at all to Japanese thinking, and the ability to adjust to reality.
But then I realise, look at the LNP.
The true problem reveals itself : conservative thinking !

Currently in London about to return from trip to UK & EU.

Paris & London now have noticeably cleaner air. Far more pleasant than previous, with significant no of EV's & hybrids - most buses & taxis.

Choking Aust cities still have a lot of catching up to do.
Amazing some xxxx dont want clean air !

Yes. Browse gas is simply uneconomic.
NWS rules probable dont help, but aren't the driver.

The reducing amount of fossil gas needed in the world can be supplied most economically by Qatar & USA, and Russia for China. Further gas exploration & development simply isnt needed.

Yes - but only to a point.
Suggest a short reference to poor design would greatly assist people understanding the whole problem and why people to easily get the wrong idea.
Look forward to the paper you reference.

While totally correct suggest this misses the most common point & issue for consumers.

Miss-matched design is likely the central problem, not the validity of heat pumps in themselves.

All cars are not the same - they vary in quality. And often you need a truck not car. Same with heating systems.

big upgrades to regional Vline services are one of the many things that should take priority over the surbuban rail loop, inc. airport rail link.

well done @joshbornstein.bsky.social

Is any action possible to reclaim costs from the individual abc executives ?
Aus taxpayers shouldnt have this cost on them.

One possibility:-
Suggest Voss was such a high level champion, he isnt a good coach for the 'everyday player'. Too much stress to perform. see write-ups this last week on how Paddy Dangerfield approaches the game.
