I’m still baffled by it. When I talked about it back in 2019, I got the sense that ppl AT LEAST liked it? I never had anyone irl straight up tell me it “ruined” anything for them.

Fan 1 can still be critical about the things they love because they want to see them do better.

something funny you'll notice is that thing "fans" #2 always claim that they're the only real fans (when they're actually just nostalgic for the time they got into thing) and think thing fans #1 are "tourists" (no matter how long they've been a fan) for actually enjoying the thing they claim to like

I think it would be people who know the thing has flaws and could suggest ways to fix it but aren't personally hurt by those flaws, and they still love the thing for what it is and are glad it exists and have appreciation for the people that made said thing.
