On 6 November, RIA hosted ‘Women, Struggle and Resilience’, where authors @leannecalvert.bsky.social (Pious and Promiscuous, RIA 2025) and Susan Marie Martin joined historian Mary McAuliffe to explore women’s experiences in Ireland from the 1700s to today.

One set was made for the patron Fearghal Ó Gadhra, Lord of Coolavin and the other was made for the Franciscan College in Louvain. Written in Irish on paper, this volume is the third and final volume of the Louvain set and covers the period A. D. 1500-1616.
