I use organic chemistry for work. At one point me and my coworkers spent an hour using AI to ask a bunch of technical organic chemistry questions. The answers ranged from subtly wrong to hilariously wrong to horrifying and dangerously wrong. It made an impression, let's say.

I read Xanth books in middle school and ran out, so I went looking for more by him. I found the anthology with that story and only recognized the editor as a name I'd seen on scifi books. What made it disturbing wasn't so much the plot as that it wasn't treated like *horror*.

It's like leaving the porch light on for Halloween or New Year's, if that's a thing where you are. Pineapples mean hospitality but are usually shown leaves up. An upside-down pineapple just means you're, hm... open to guests visiting. A discreet, kid-friendly, but easily noticed invitation.

Generally I think we'll all be better off if people keep their horny swinger nudism to themselves in general. All I wanna see is an upside-down pineapple bumper sticker or door decoration, and I'm good with that.
