Yes I think that’s a fair point - we had long arguments in this house about the ethics of it - and it’s not ethical at all. She saw it as a sign of control and she’s right.

Of course. We had good reason at the time, perhaps trust me on that? We never routinely used tracking.

I have kid similar age. I don’t track 16 yo - sometimes she will share location with me if she needs picking up. There was a period where she wasn’t where she said she’d be or home at stipulated time. Then she was tracked for a while.

There’s also the other issue which is who decides what gets transcribed and the impact on the history that’s written and especially the inclusion of minoritised subjects.
