I enjoy the absurdity of humanity. Perfect is boring. Things to say about communities, tech, culture, leadership, L&D, and social dynamics.

Writing a book titled Control Is for Amateurs.

Founder of Engaged Organizations. Prior, The Community Roundtable.

I wish AI worked in the real world, for practical things… like washing sheets and making beds 😛

😏 I feel this in my bones.

I would like a crisp English nanny or housekeeper to keep us sorted.

I had a six-month class on the Holocaust in public high school in the 80s, which I think was somewhat unique.

We had direct interactions with survivors, saw the awful footage, etc but I still have no experience being in a family or faith community that has been attacked for centuries.

No doubt - and I don’t/can’t fully understand so I try not to provide commentary. This just clarified one of the tensions for me.

“This wasn’t a showdown. It wasn’t a humiliation. It wasn’t a triumph for either man. It was something far more revealing: a case study in how a bully behaves when he can’t rely on fear, and how a principled politician behaves when he refuses the role of the victim.”

“There’s a strange thing that happens when you watch the full thirty-minute interview instead of the clipped version the internet tosses around. The edges soften. The masks slip. And you start to see the actual geometry of the interaction — where power sits, where insecurity leaks…”

It was my immediate reaction. Ewww. Run away!

Thank you - I saw the same and was seeing everyone else reacting like this is authentic support/validation of some type.

Not helped by the fact that when I was an industry analyst and they would troop up around to their different product groups, and I would ask about this, they would all reply “Well, that’s part of our secret sauce."

🙄🤨😠

In the early days of Google, something really bothered me about its search for years before I figured it out, which was that I had no control or insight into the algorithm - and because of that, I had NO idea what I was not seeing (or the risk I took on as a result)
