Wow a year on BlueSky already and I've posted all my old monthly playlists. At least I still have all the other music I'm too much of a mess to organize into playlists and properly sort. Ripping music for so long has finally caught up to me. I have albums and dates to apply to my 6000+ songs.

Lots of dupstep in March of 2012, a few left over Just Dance songs in there as well. A bit of classical piano and of course Justin Bieber why not? Trapped in the Closet by R. Kelly Chapter 1 from what I remember is the same song 15 times or something telling some crazy story that i think ends with a little person, clowns, and cheating cheaters? The build up to the cresendo i think is the only reason i like that song.

Man, show are having really good original songs and mixes of songs. Squid Game 2 had such a good use of Pavarotti as well as really good competitive music for the games. I finally saw Helluva Boss since its been everywhere and I never knew why, so I caved in and watched it and its really good, crude, funny, and lots of original songs. Kingdom Hearts covers keep getting better as well. Amazing that after all these years it still resonates with musicians.

Id see YouTube shorts and tiktoks of the gothly 2 Shadows doing un-gothly things. I think they're really good love the screams. Also dancey upbeat stuff. I love having a playlist that has upbeat and happy songs followed by something the exact opposite.

From Jan to July 2023 I was beyond burned out. Working late waking up late always tired..... barely any time to enjoy life or music. These were the dark days. Absinthe Party and Eddie My Love were defintly my favorites of the month though. Even when i'm dead tired and angry at the world and circumstances, a good song can still make its way into my ears.

February 2022 I was down in the basement speakeasy bar backing and bartending till 2 sometimes 3 am most nights. Lots of long nights, so tired and getting yelled at from the tipsy bartenders. This used to be the soundtrack to my pain, but when I started to become better at bartending and getting my own nights to work myself, this soundtrack gave me the warm and fuzzies.

I like alot of songs, but I LOVE "Fall in Love" by Phantogram. Theres so much going on, steady and strong drum beat, electronic ambiance, great lyrics and vocals, change in tempo, something differnt to focus on in every listen. Easily top ten song of all time for me.

A little bit of everything thing month and year. Country, spanish, Asian pop, Australian psycodelic and Kesha. I found out about Jagwar Ma an Autralian band that just has the sound, poppy, trippy and just different from most other things. Half-Alive is also very good, Still Feel is so ubiquitous with bartending for me .

Me and the wife watched alot of movies this month, or possibly the last month. We loved Disney tv movies growing up and decided to try the new generation of Disney tv movies, and Decendants was very fun and corny. Despicable Me 3 on the other hand was very forgettable; Trey Parker voicing a villian aside. EMO the Musical was my favorite not too edgy though it was like a slightly harder Disney tv movie.

Hotline Miami, Hedwig and the Angry Itch, and my first big listening to Taylor Swift. I love music that makes me feel invincible when i go running or work out, like heavy metal, Wrestling themes, and the like. Taylor Swift has that same energy, but in pop form! And Hedwig and The Angry Itch is a great movie about music, acceptance, and love. defintely check that one out.

Saint's Row 4 has one of the best video game curated soundtracks I've ever heard. GTA San Andres is a close second. The rap,rock and electronic stuff just *chefs kiss*. Also Orange is the new Black theme is great I love the guitar ramping up in that one.

Ratatat and LMFAO put me back in a very specific time of my life, things were so adventurous and exciting and hopeful. Sometimes you gotta try alittle bit of everything. I'd never thought i like country if i didnt have a dumb silly song introduce to me why it could be kinda fun, then its all downhill from there. Blood On The Dance Floor had that ADHD spiking song that just hit at the moment for me too.

Rockband 3 has Humanoid by Tokio Hotel, it sounds really cool so I look up more Tokio Hotel; it becomes one of my favorite bands! I also got into drum and bass like electronic stuff. Pendulum and Hadouken! have that like pumping 'lets go' vibe to it.
