I believe it is a King quote - King’s inspiration for it was referencing John 1 I believe

That’s more than just an MLK quote, it’s also a reference to John chapter 1. I’m also unclear on how Kirk would react to an actual reference to the Gospel

I know someone else that died from suicidal empathy - Jesus Christ. There was a time when compassion was a virtue. I pray we learn it again.

Shame on her for using Jesus’ name to deflect her lack of compassion for those who cannot afford healthcare. I would call that blasphemy.
