I’m just here. Doing my best to stay engaged, and active in and for my community, whilst struggling with existential sadness like so many of us. 🌻🐦‍⬛

Taos, NM, over the Pueblo and Morher Mountain. Taken with iPhone, but tamp down about 20% and we could see the “fire” with the naked eye.

Holy guacamole!! It dipped down here to Taos, New Mexico. The sky was on fire around 8pm MT, the “flames” dipping down to commune with Morher Mountain and Taos Pueblo. While these photos captured by iPhone, tamp down by only about 20% and what we saw with the naked eye. I’m still shaking.

At 8pm Mountain Time, captured a sky on fire, communing with Mother Mountain and the Taos Pueblo. While these are iPhone captures, tamp that down only about 20%, and that’s what you could see with the naked eye. My teeth are still chattering!

I feel so incredibly lucky to have witnessed the fire communing with Mother Mountain. It’s lifted a bit now. I’ll gladly take it as a powerful sign, and an incredible blessing. The fire has lifted a bit now.

#northernlights #auroraborealis captured Nov 11 2025 #veteransday at 8pm MT over #taosnewmexico, over #taospueblo. #1111 #theforce is strong over #mothermountain tonight. #thehopeinsymbolism

Woke up this morning to this sky, then news of Cheney’s passing, then an overwhelming Blue wave tonight. Full super moon in a few hours. Feeling hope and connection for the first time in years. Dare I say I’ll sleep well tonight for the first time in ages? Think so. Feeling so not alone for once.

Something about today… from #sunrise to #sunset to #moonrise, and the #lenticular #clouds ALL DAY over the #sangredecristomountains #ranchosdetaos #newmexico. The light glowing so blood red this am through my windows woke me up, and repeated at sunset! Holy guacamole!

A great “on this day” photo showed upon my phone. From 2019, capturing the #sunrise from the #sunsetlimited #amtrak #train on the bridge over the #PecosRiver, on my way to visit friends in #Marfa #Texas. Little did I know that ~a year later I’d be living not so far from the river’s headwaters in NM

We have our #diadelosmuertos altara lit up in the house, but wanted to re-fire our #pumpkins from last night in solidarity. The birdbath is not only reflecting their glow, but the #moon overhead as well. #Halloween #Samhein #theveilisthin November 1, 2025

#taosmountainballoonrally What a thing it is to have balloons rise and pass over your house every year. Two more morning “mass ascensions!” I took this one flying directly overhead as a wee sign of hope. #spiritof76 #halloween #hotairballoons

Jim, I feel you. I still have this edition of the Washington Post mouldering in my file cabinet. I, too, grew up in NoVA during this era. I was 10 in ‘74, & it was like we could all exhale with relief — me, a kid, feeling it from the adults surrounding me. WTAF. Nixon looks like JFC at this point.

Yes, we still have #wildhorses in the #americanwest. The #mustang, symbol of the #americanspirit were brought here by the Spanish, their lineage the #spanishbarb #arabian #horse. The spirit and symbol I hold to, amidst all of this unleashed hell.

When we first arrived this afternoon in Taos. I couldn’t wrap my brain around, or properly capture how many folks where there. Took a ton of footage later walking the Paseo, on the osmo that I’ll be editing down next couple of days. #community #nokings #taos #newmexico

Just serious upside down weather. Something I’ve never seen before as a weather geek. North of us, in the San Luis Valley by Crestone, this mondo thunderstorm, but likely snowing on the peaks. Utterly surreal for mid October. #weirdweather #climatechange #theupsidedown #anomalousweather

This came up in my feed from a personal hermitage trip I took with my pup in 2022. On the sandstone bluffs above the El Malpais, in Acoma country, I came across this sign. Realize now the hair swoop reminds me of a certain person. I may morph it into a sign for this coming Saturday.

Not taken today. Taken a few summers ago from my home. Just wanted to cheer myself up. Hope it brings you some cheer as well. (I spent today following the trail of gorgeous aspens and scrub oak in Northern NM & Southern Colorado. An annual tradition.) #rainbows #clouds #NewMexico

Can’t help but wonder if the cult takes this tack when dear leader expires.

I was swarmed by them this summer in northern NM. I learned to put out the feeders about a month early (Tax day). Last day of freeze here roughly around May 15. The boys come first to scope out goods for the gals following. Joy incarnate. Video of last batch of “my” gals prepping for migration. ❤️
