I just watched Metallica's set on this stream and all I could pay attention to was the veneers...
I don't remember much about the service or anything else, but I can remember how many flower tiles were on the ceiling the details of the stained glass windows, how creepy the stations of the cross paintings were. It was probably because I was so bored I had to memorize things to pass the time.

Sounds like a memory of a simpler and maybe better time, even though your friend moved?
This happens to me as well (and maybe everyone else too?), but I think its cool when it does. I sometimes randomly think about the details of the church building I had to go to when I was a kid.
