It was the 1st time that I gamified a art/poetry work! I really enjoyed making something that's both fun to play & that explores deeper themes of philosophy, creativity & poetry.

I’m so grateful for the support, encouragement, & curiosity of the communities around me — both locally & online.

The Last Stanza has been one of the most rewarding pieces I’ve made — blending poetry, sculpture, & immersive worldbuilding into an interactive experience.

The QLD XR Festival's events will take place in Brisbane from the 28th–30th of Nov, & I’m so proud The Last Stanza will be included.

I’m very happy to share that "The Last Stanza" has been selected as a Finalist in the QLD XR Festival, in the Best in Virtual Worlds category.

The Last Stanza was created in collaboration with VIVERSE, & supported with a commission through their Creator Program.

But, seriously! Ballarat! 2025 has been a very inpsirational and high volume creative period for us, and there's no sense of slowing down... A lot of it has had to do with the support & encouragement of the local artistic and creative community here in Ballarat.

This work was commissioned by the Creative City Ballarat. & If you missed the Hidden festival in May — or would just like to see/learn more about this artwork and how it was made — you can see and find out more about this artwork on my website.

Kylie took waaaaaay better pictures of “8” on Sunday…

Multiple exposures, camera tricks, or tricks of the light? Trifecta?

To be clear, Sarah Curro is the star violinist in question.

I customised her Semi-Acoustic violin. If you wanna know more about that cool thing, you can see that here:

We did it. After 6 years of trying to get this show, “8”, on an IRL stage, it happened.

I ran tech, it was all our own equipment, & 2 of the 3 musicians couldn’t play due to personal tragedy, but WE STILL GOT IT ON THE STAGE WITH THE STAR VIOLINIST so that totally counts.

Right? no more curse?

Framing up the LAST 2 PANELS for the exhibition in December.

There are 50 of these panels now

So much time & resin

Really happy with how these came out!

After my wife finished reading her 8th book on Quantum Physics this year in prep for us writing our 2026 show… she says: “I think I believe in ghosts now”.

me: Remember how I told you art was magic, & magic was just the bending of reality? Here’s some homework. Just try to ignore the misogyny :(

First rose of the season from our garden. This rosebush was almost entirely dead when we got here, my Kylie revived it with her green thumb. ❤️🌹

Well, Floriography has now wrapped!

The last show at the Ballarat International Foto Biennale was today, a few tears were shed (the good kind), & it’s time to pack up our little show & start working on getting the next one on the stage.

Kylie, you’re a star.

She is such a legend. I am so lucky.

Only 3 more FLORIOGRAPHY shows left, after today’s session, which is happening RIGHT NOW. My Kylie is such a star, I’m going miss watching her perform this every weekend when it’s over…

I am having fun preparing for my first solo exhibition, coming up in December 2025-Jan 2026. I decided to frame the artworks myself, by mounting them on wood & using eco-resin to seal them — so they’re shippable internationally *wink* & because I have a deep hatred for glass frames.

Went to the opening of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale, and saw Campbell Addy speak + exhibition reveal. Very exciting!

Kylie’s 1st Floriography session starts TOMORROW — she’s been working so hard, & I am so proud of her! One more sleep!!

2014, Featured Poet at La Mama Poetica

Copped a lot of online abuse after this show because… reasons… but wow, that wig really was the wig of my *life*

My great love of skeleton suits, started way back in 2013… early evidence!

Also evidence I was too broke for food at this time
