Agreed, it’s better if you’ve got a permanent home for your A500 to live. I don’t believe that slot was engineered for regular insertions/removals so it can be a headache.

Pics of mine for reference. The pin headers at the top is here you can add in a faster 020 or 030 board.

It’s a good board that doesn’t limit your options and allows you to add as budget permits.

Only downside is it sits out the side of the A500.

I’d honestly advise the ACA500 Plus. It provides storage via 2x CF, can switch between Kickstarts that are kept on NAND storage, adds a faster 68000 and gives you the ability to add a network card and RTC with two add on boards.

If you want to go faster, you can attach CPU upgrades to it too.
