Looking through my OneDrive collection of photos, I came across this. Over 52 years ago, I was privileged to spend a couple of months in Cuba as a member of the 6th contingent of the Venceremos Brigade. One of the people who traveled with me was the current Mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass.

I made this wallet around 1970. I was waiting for a march to begin that was organized by the VVAW, for which I was a principal organizer. If memory serves, it was in Nixon's hometown of Whittier and the featured speaker was Ron Kovic, who was a friend. I believe someone slashed his tires that day.

I've developed a lot of skills in my going on 79 years. The one I'm most adept at today is, apparently, sleep. I share the feedback from my Apple watch and the graphic it produces in my iPhone's Health app to ChatGPT and it analyzes how I slept the previous night. I've become an expert!
