I don’t blame you. I wouldn’t pay it, unless I was in the middle of some life-or-death treatment, I guess. I went a year without health insurance in my 30s, and I got by. I was lucky, of course.

That’s outrageous. Can you switch to a plan with a lower premium and a higher deductible? Since you’re healthy (and young?), you probably would pay less overall.
