I'm sorry about the drought, but appreciate you mentioning it. Even with "city" water, many of us nationwide are under watering restrictions (or should be).

In-depth details at the accompanying link, but "In sum, the array of improvements and deterioration incorporated into this week’s Drought Monitor resulted in slight declines in overall coverage of the various drought severity levels across the Lower-48. Abnormally dry or worse conditions cover 72 percent of the country, down from 74 percent last week. About 21 percent of the country is experiencing Severe Drought or worse (D2-D4), down slightly from 23 percent last week. For the 50 states plus Puerto Rico in total, coverage of abnormally dry or worse conditions fell from 62 to just under 60.5 percent."

Know Your Protest Rights by the ACLU: 1. You don't need a permit to protest in response to breaking news and you don't need a permit to march in the streets or along sidewalks, as long as you're not obstructing traffic or access to buildings. 2. When you are lawfully present in any public, you have the right to photograph anything in plain view, including federal buildings and the police. 3. If you believe your rights have been violated, when you can, write down everything you remember, get contact information for witnesses, and take photographs of any injuries. 4. If you get stopped by the police, ask if you're free to go. If they say yes, calmly walk away. 5. If you get arrested, you have the right to ask why. Otherwise, say you wish to remain silent and ask for a lawyer immediately. Don't sign, say or agree to anything without a lawyer present. 6. If you get stopped by a member of the military or any law enforcement officer at a protest, you have the right to remain silent or to tell them you'll only answer questions in the presence of an attorney - no matter your citizenship or immigration status. ACLU's Sharing or Documenting Information about Police or ICE Activity: You have the right to talk about and publicize truthful information you obtain lawfully, including about what officers are doing and where they are doing it. Even if the person who initially gathered the information broke the law in getting it, you have the right to communicate the information so long as you aren’t breaking any laws in getting or communicating it—such as by trespassing or wiretapping. When lawfully present in any public space, you have the right to photograph anything in plain view, including government buildings and law enforcement. (On private property, the owner may set rules about photography or video.) If you are videotaping, be aware that there is an important legal distinction between a visual image (fully protected) and the audio portion of a videotape, which some states regulate under state wiretapping laws. However, they may order you to cease activities that are truly interfering with legitimate law enforcement—if you are, for example, physically obstructing their work (and not simply criticizing officers, or sharing publicly-available information).

In her complaint, Dr. Marrazzo blew the whistle on the HHS’s illegal cancellation of several critical research grants, politicization of scientific research, baseless hostility towards vaccinations, and censorship of scientific research. Her attorney, Debra S. Katz, issued the following statement: “The Trump Administration terminated Dr. Marrazzo for her advocacy on behalf of critical health research and for her support of the overwhelming body of evidence that shows vaccines are safe and effective. “The evidence that the Trump Administration removed Dr. Marrazzo for illegal reasons was already powerful. To compare: An admittedly flawed, but nevertheless interesting, map (keeping in mind the Cato Institute's worldview, the data sources look sound) showing a land-use freedom index (2022, I think). Lower numbers & lighter colors indicate higher land-use freedom.

My point is being missed. The point is the blatant disregard of due process and lack of valid deportation orders from whichever jurisdiction these flights originate. I'm not seeing how this strategy fits with Avelo's stated values.
