Huge congrats to the @pghguild.com on winning after a 3-year strike!

Powering through the longest ongoing strike in the nation is a testament to your resolve. Your organized labor makes our communities stronger and our workplaces more fair.
BREAKING: We won!

Today the 3rd Circuit Court ordered the @post-gazette.com to restore our contract it illegally tore up 5 years ago. That’s our health care, PTO, right to a 40-hr. work week, short-term disability and so much more we’ve struck for 3+ years.

Americans have endured the pain of the longest government shutdown in history for a “deal” that guarantees nothing on healthcare.

If Republicans wanted to vote to extend subsidies, they would’ve done it already.

Capitulating is unacceptable.

I was grateful to spend time this week in community with @cjaourpower honoring the lives of the late Reps. Raúl Grijalva and Donald McEachin and our environmental justice ancestors who’ve championed this movement before us.

These flight cancellations and delays are a direct result of the Republican shutdown.

If Republicans really cared about paying air traffic controllers and airport workers, they'd bring us back in session and return to the negotiating table immediately.

We are officially in the longest government shutdown ever—Hasan Piker I are here to let you know what’s going.
November 6, 2025 at 10:44 PM
At 36 days, Republicans have officially caused the longest government shutdown in US history.

We can and should ensure folks can afford healthcare, fund SNAP, AND reopen the government. Speaker Johnson, stop the games and bring us back in session so we can do the work of the people.
November 5, 2025 at 6:59 PM
Republicans have put working families between a rock and a hard place time and again and now they're making false promises to hide the fact that they're betraying the American people.

From PA to DC, I've heard from countless folks telling me what SNAP means for them: sending their child to school with lunch, or being able to make a meal after a long shift.

SNAP is not a bargaining chip, and we will keep pushing until the Trump admin fully funds SNAP.

Happy Election Day, friends!

Our vote is our voice—and our right. We must do everything we can to protect it from wannabe dictators and efforts to silence us.

Whether or not we have a dictator in the White House is up to us, because the power of the people will always be greater than the people in power.

This Native American Heritage Month, we honor the rich history, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples across the country.

We must continue to empower Indigenous communities, support efforts to protect land and resources, and educate ourselves on the history and experiences of tribes.

Rather than partial funding with significant delays, the White House could transfer funds to fully fund SNAP right now.

This is a band-aid for a festering wound that will hurt 42 million people much sooner than this admin will admit.

Pennsylvanians deserve healthcare that is affordable, accessible, and meets their needs.

Instead of working towards that for working families, Republicans are manufacturing a healthcare crisis that will jack up insurance costs for thousands of people and kick thousands more off Medicaid entirely.
November 2, 2025 at 6:06 PM
Today, families are waking up to no SNAP benefits and seeing that their healthcare premiums will skyrocket.

Republicans talked about making things affordable––they lied. In the wealthiest country in the world, we can and should make sure everyone has food to eat and care they need.
November 1, 2025 at 3:37 PM
🚨 A federal court just blocked Trump's attempt to cut off food assistance from 42 million people.

We cannot and will not allow the lifelines we depend on, whether it's SNAP or healthcare or anything else, to be used as bargaining chips.

It's been over a month since Speaker Johnson has brought the House back into session.

Our jobs can't get done if he won't bring us back.

Republicans have dragged this shutdown on for too long. We must negotiate a bill to protect healthcare & reopen the government. Folks are hurting.

This is an uncertain and difficult time for many folks in our community.

I joined the Sheraden Community Council Meeting to discuss how the government shutdown will affect residents and ways I'm supporting them.

For years, food banks have struggled to keep up with rising demand. Now, Republicans are refusing to fund SNAP to support them.

We can fund SNAP, protect healthcare, AND reopen the government. Anything less is a reflection of political unwillingness to support working families.

Because of the Republican shutdown, SNAP benefits are set to be delayed at the end of the month. I joined Westmoreland Food Bank, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, and other local stakeholders to discuss our fight for food security and hear from folks who run these lifelines.

SNAP is a lifeline helping thousands in PA-12 put food on the table. It must not be used as a bargaining chip.

My colleagues & I demanded @usdagov.bsky.social use the contingency reserve to fund SNAP, but they rejected our call. The only thing stopping them from feeding families is their cruelty.
