I will say this plainly: the Department of Education’s exclusion of nursing as a professional degree is a direct attack on the people who hold our health care system together, and it’s an attack shaped by race, class, and power. It is unacceptable.

The Supreme Court just made it easier for states to block people on Medicaid from getting care at Planned Parenthood.

We are losing clinicians—fast. People are leaving states with abortion bans. Medical students & residents choose not to train or practice in places where they can't provide evidence-based care. Dobbs + dangerous abortion bans are exacerbating what was already an urgent, dire shortage of providers.

Now, more than ever, we need complex models of care that center community and prioritize those at the margins. Abortion providers have always known and lived deeply in this truth.
