Access to clean, safe drinking water is essential, especially for young children. Today, we’re one step closer to lead-free water in our city thanks to all of those who have been pushing to bring these much needed funds to Racine.

I’m thrilled that Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will be sending the City of Racine $40 million to continue replacing lead pipes in our community.

Legislative Democrats have introduced several bills to help lower costs for Wisconsin families. Join me in urging my Republican colleagues to move these bills forward before the end of the year.

I hope everyone has a joyful holiday season and enjoys our Wisconsin winter!

We will continue fighting for this bill to be brought to the floor because moms and babies need it.

I hope you’ll join me in pushing the legislature to pass this bill.

First and foremost, we need the technology companies to pay for 100% of their energy costs and the energy infrastructure needed to support them.

I also want to see at least 70% renewable energy for these projects, good wages for construction jobs, and oversight on environmental impacts.

Given the broad support for this bill in every caucus in the State Capitol, Assembly Republicans must stand up to Robin Vos and demand a vote on SB 23 on the floor.

Wisconsinites deserve action when it comes to widely popular policies like healthcare for new moms, and it is egregious that anybody would stand in the way of this critical policy becoming law.

But Robin Vos, his leadership team, and the Republican caucus continue to stand in the way of a vote on this bill. We began the withdrawal petition process to finally bring Senate Bill 23 to the floor and pass it, but Vos made a procedural move to block it once again.

The fight continues.

I am very disappointed that a small group of Democratic senators voted with Republicans on the continuing resolution, but l am grateful to Wisconsin's delegation for standing together and making clear that lowering health care costs for Americans is our number one priority.
