Tejana. Fronteriza. Proudly representing El Paso in the U.S. House of Representatives.
By supporting the Restoring Food Security for American Families and Farmers Act of 2025, we hope to reverse these cuts and end this shameful Republican abandonment of those who need help the most.

This administration has been hell-bent on slashing if not outright eliminating programs like SNAP and allowing millions of Americans to go hungry. The shutdown was only a preview of the devastation every single Republican voted to inflict.

It is one of the greatest honors of my career not just to have served alongside her, but to have learned so much from her.

As she steps away from public office, we celebrate a legacy defined by grace, grit, and a profound love of country.

She has been a North Star for so many, having illuminated a path of progress, compassion, and courage for us all.

Throughout her decades of service, she has guided our nation through some of its darkest hours and championed transformative legislation that will shape the lives of Americans for generations to come.

The public should take note that the Trump administration was more than willing to weaponize hunger for political purposes.

We've seen the Trump administration jump through hoops and find billions for Argentina, private planes, and more but refuse to support Americans in need in a time a crisis.
