Proud to join @cpcnyc.bsky.social tonight for their appreciation event celebrating 60 years of community, care, and advocacy. Their impact on families, seniors, and immigrants is felt every day across our city. Here’s to the next 60, and to continuing this work together.

Public service isn’t a get-rich-quick scheme.

It’s time to pass the Restore Trust in Congress Act and finally ban lawmakers from trading stocks. The American people deserve to be confident that their representatives are working for them, not their own financial interests.

Great to join CEC 1 for their annual legislative breakfast. These conversations are essential to strengthen our schools and public education.

I’m proud to partner with our educators to deliver resources and commonsense measures to give New Yorkers the foundation to achieve the American Dream.

If Starbucks can spend billions on executive payouts, it can negotiate fair contracts with its workers. The “Red Cup Rebellion” happens when a company chooses to retaliate against those seeking living wages.

I proudly joined the @laborcaucus.house.gov in demanding Starbucks bargain in good faith.
We're standing in solidarity with @sbworkersunited.org as they strike for a first contract ✊

For over 4 years, workers have fought for a fair union contract. It’s time for Starbucks to bargain in good faith and for workers to get the contract they deserve.

Californians voted to redistrict the state in response to Texas Republicans ramming through an unprecedented mid-decade partisan gerrymander.

Now Bondi is suing California — and not Texas — to override the voters.

The blatant and disgusting partisanship from the DOJ is destroying the department.

The Puerto Rican community has long been the beating heart of the LES, shaping our city through art, activism, and service.

This Puerto Rican Heritage Month, I was proud to join @marklevinenyc.bsky.social celebrating leaders like Daisy Paez and NYLFF for their decades of impact and inspiration.

I appreciate NYPD’s swiftness to protect New Yorkers seemingly under attack by masked, unidentified people, and hope the officers heal quickly.

Those unidentified people were plain-clothed ICE agents.

Trump’s immigration dragnet is turning our streets into a battleground. We will not tolerate it.
November 14, 2025 at 4:02 PM
Trump’s disastrous tariffs have raised prices on everyday essentials, and now he’s trying to clean up the mess.

Sec. Bessent can’t fix reckless policy with a Fox News interview. Working families deserve real economic leadership, not chaos and backtracking.

Epstein’s own words, that Trump “knew about the girls,” speak for themselves.

Trump has directed his Republican allies to cover up the Epstein files because they expose him.

If he's done nothing wrong, then prove it. We have the votes. Now release the files.
🚨BREAKING: Oversight Dems have received new emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that raise serious questions about Donald Trump and his knowledge of Epstein’s horrific crimes.

Read them for yourself. It’s time to end this cover-up and RELEASE THE FILES.

Great to join UA3 and @henrystreet.bsky.social at the Harvest Festival to distribute food to our neighbors. While we fight to protect and fully fund SNAP, community groups like these are a crucial lifeline.

Thank you Don Hong and all the volunteers for helping make sure no New Yorker goes hungry.

We have reliable direct evidence connecting Donald Trump to Epstein’s underage sex trafficking ring. Trump’s DOJ cover-up of Epstein’s crimes must not continue.

DOJ must release every piece of the Epstein files. No more secrets. The American people, the survivors, and the victims deserve the truth.

In NYC, criminals posing as ICE agents tied up a restaurant worker and bagged their head.

Trump’s policy of militarized, masked raids doesn’t stop crime. It encourages it.

Real ICE agents must identify themselves and stop turning law enforcement into a tool of fear. Public safety isn’t a costume.

After Speaker Johnson’s 50-day delay to help Trump cover up the Epstein Files, Arizona’s 7th District finally has the representation it deserves.

Congratulations and welcome to Congress, Rep. Grijalva!

I look forward to partnering with you to deliver for all Americans.

Federal law requires immigration officers to identify themselves during arrests. But under Trump, masked agents are detaining people in secret, violating the law, and endangering public safety.

We’re demanding DHS and Secretary Noem comply with the law and protect civil rights.
November 11, 2025 at 10:33 PM
The Supreme Court actually did the right thing by declining to revisit marriage equality.

Equal rights under the law should never be a partisan issue. Every American deserves the freedom to marry who you love, and I’ll always defend that right.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Supreme Court rejects call to overturn its decision legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide.

On Veterans Day, we honor the brave men and women who have served our nation and defended our democracy.

Their courage and sacrifice embody the best of America. We owe our veterans and their families the deepest gratitude today and every day.

Hunger isn’t a legal game.

While NY AG James, @governor.ny.gov, and Congressional Democrats fight to feed families, Trump is wasting time and taxpayer money to block the SNAP benefits of 42 million Americans in court.

We’ll keep fighting until every family gets the food support they deserve.
NY, NJ challenge Trump’s threats to SNAP funding amid confusion over payments
The attorneys general of New York and New Jersey said benefits were continuing for recipients despite the ongoing legal fight.

If Republicans want Democrats to support a budget bill, then they must negotiate with us.

Senate Democrats must hold the line to save health care for Americans, not trade that away for an empty promise.

I’m a NO on this shutdown deal and urge Senate Democrats to vote no.

Our waterways are one of New York’s greatest assets. Investing in them is investing in our city’s future.

I was proud to join NYCEDC today to announce the NYC Ferry Optimization Plan, expanding service to East Harlem and Sunset Park and strengthening a critical transit link for all New Yorkers.
November 10, 2025 at 6:29 PM
It is unacceptable for masked ICE agents to throw tear gas on the streets of American cities.

@repscottpeters.bsky.social and I are introducing the Stop Excessive Force in Immigration Act to ban ICE’s use of crowd control munitions, mandate body cameras, and protect our communities.

When pilots say controllers are overworked and safety data shows rising risk, leaders should act — not threaten more flight cuts.

Donald Trump and Sec. Duffy are gambling with lives to score political points. Reopen the government, restore full operations, and pay our aviation workers.
November 9, 2025 at 7:33 PM
Firing qualified immigration judges simply because their previous experience includes immigrant defense is a blatant attack on judicial independence and due process. AG Pam Bondi and the DOJ must explain these actions immediately.

Justice demands fairness, not ideological loyalty, in our courts.
November 9, 2025 at 3:08 PM
Trump’s shutdown is grounding planes, stranding travelers, and forcing air traffic controllers to work without pay.

Sec. Duffy, you are putting Americans in danger.

Stop playing political games with our travel system and urge House Republicans to return to Washington and open the government.
November 8, 2025 at 10:21 PM
Heartbroken to hear of the tragic loss of a 27-year-old woman struck and killed in the West Village. My thoughts are with her family and loved ones.

We must do more to make our streets safer for pedestrians and hold reckless drivers accountable. Thank you to the NYPD for ensuring justice is met.
November 8, 2025 at 8:54 PM
Food pantries are running out of supplies and turning families away. 1.8 million of our neighbors are going hungry and being forced to choose between rent and food.

All while Donald Trump sits on money that Congress already approved for SNAP.

This is cruelty, plain and simple. Fund SNAP now.
