software engineers of any reasonable seniority are very good at coming up with metaphorical feedback loops in all sorts of internally consistent analogies, as models to build intuition for themselves or as public punchlines

the main bottlenecks I can think of:

- we're running github.com/hanami/api which is a minimal rack-based server
- dependency on github.com/fastlane/fas... which I believe is almost entirely written in ruby (no native exts)

I'm intrigued (yet again). I think moving the tramline monolith (rails 7) would be too much work, but I want to try and run applelink on github.com/tramlinehq/a... on jruby
