Sentient being, mother, film producer, talent manager.🌊. NAFO, FELLA, SlavaUkraini 🇺🇦,
We are drenched in news, lost in drama, divided within and without,
Our true light obscured by clouds of thought.
But the sun of being has never dimmed,
Only hidden from eyes that look outward.

For me, the journey has been one of continual softening. Of learning to walk not above the world, but alongside it. Barefoot. Exposed. Human.1/

Love is not primarily an emotion that arises between two people. It is the recognition that the apparent boundary between yourself and another has no reality at the deepest level. 1/

Out of the abyss of your death
you asked me, what are you grieving?
I stared into its dark, speechless.
I have become the light, you said,
that I thought was outside me.
   It is Beautiful, and All-Good.
   What are you grieving?

“There are times when inexplicably we feel anxiety, fear, all these things can come. Our attitude is very important: welcome them. Because whatever you resist, you give power to it. Let things come but be detached. Don’t feel ‘this is unnatural’ or ‘this should not be’.1/

We live in a time when noise is constant — not just the noise of traffic, notifications, and headlines, but the inner noise of thought, emotion, and reactivity. Even when the world around us is still, the mind can be a restless swirl of stories, judgments, worries, and plans.1/

Greetings from Kyiv.

Late today.
So, there have been no strikes on energy facilities since last night, but russia is now redirecting its attacks toward logistics and key transport hubs.

Let’s see what comes next.

The poet Rainer Maria Rilke expressed this sense of belonging in the closing lines of his “Ninth Duino Elegy”:

Earth, isn’t this what you want? To arise in us, invisible?
Is it not your dream, to enter us so wholly
there’s nothing left outside us to see? 1/

Habitual ego patterns shape the way we enter situations—often with unconscious defenses, strategies already in place. Ego is revealed as a deeply ingrained habit, and the only way to loosen its grip is through awareness and a willingness to experiment with something new: the habit of grace.1/

So the House is going to vote TOMORROW on the DHS funding bill that includes funding for ICE.

There's a real chance we can get Dems to vote NO on any bill with ICE funding to sink it.

Once it goes to the Senate we likely lose this chance.

24 hours. Go.

Do not obey in advance.
Most of the power of authoritarianism is freely given. In times like these, individuals think ahead about what a more repressive government will want, and then offer themselves without being asked. A citizen who adapts in this way is teaching power what it can do.

The lesson of history is that tyrants cannot be appeased.

Appeasement only feeds their insatiable hunger for power.

Tyrants prey on people who feel unsafe and vulnerable.

But without mass submission, a tyrant is powerless.

Remember this.

Science fiction imagines wormholes as shortcuts through spacetime. But the original idea suggests they could be something far stranger.

"The first to break were those who believed it would all end soon. After them came those who believed it would never end. Those who survived were the ones who focused on their own actions, without expectations about what might or might not happen."
