When Terry Pratchett died it struck me that our door to the world inside his mind was forever closed. Other people could write Discworld books of course, but they would be their own interpretation - not bad but inherently different. I realised each human mind is a unique, limited resource

there is something that happens in the mind of a barber when i say "i never style it, it's wavy, don't try to force it straight, just let it curl up as much it wants to" that makes them hear "you must try to make it straight here comes the blow dryer" every time

I am starting a studio! We are small and scrappy and have no money. Why am I doing this? Because the only ones who can protect art are the ones who value it. Disney using AI? Yuck. Netflix buying WB? Also yuck. In 10 years what is even going to be left.
