Donald Trump has just said that the United States of America will "run the country [Venezuela] for the time" until a "transition" can occur.

This is a regime change. What Trump attacked George W. Bush for, he now mimics.
Most of the Trump administration needs to be impeached and you know it’s unfortunate when Marco Rubio is the least corrupt.

Labour needs not change but progression. They must follow the manifesto.

I believe that this Labour government is the most crucial government the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has had in several decades.

I will outline suggestions for the left to recover.

Black History Month is a time to recognize the lived, shared experience of all Black folks who have fundamentally shaped, challenged, and ultimately strengthened America. It’s about taking an unvarnished look at the past so that we can create a better future.

Once the midterms occur and the Democrats win, such win must be used to impeach Kristi Noem.

It shouldn't just be a prospect but a promise to uphold the rule of law.

ICE has become a rogue agency. It always had problems but now more than ever is it run, operated, and maintained by corrupt bureaucrats, politicians, and the criminal members of Donald Trump's second administration.

It has always been the time for libertarians and conservatives to support the bipartisan causes of liberals and democratic socialists.

Ideological difference needs to be put aside to unite and defeat a corrupt administration which allows just one tragedy after another.
January 26, 2026 at 7:57 PM
The second Trump administration is full of criminals and people who think that a political wrong can make a moral right.

They need to be impeached because that is a moral right.

Immigration detention has always required reform.

One president after the next, even in bipartisan times, immigration policy has been resisted. It shouldn't take tragedy for reform – legislation must be passed now and voted for by Democrats and Republicans.

Trump will claim that his health plan is "two weeks away" or that he has the "concept of a plan".

As the midterms grow closer and closer, the Democrats need to publish their promises, including health policies, for their 2028 win because it's not a prospect but a tangible reality that they win.

Venezuela did not 'steal America's oil'. This presidency is marked by policies that do not serve the American people – at the midterms, impeachment is priority A.
January 5, 2026 at 7:40 PM
I think that it's time for the conclusion to not only be understood but proclaimed: Trump was democratically elected in 2024 but he does not serve the people or the causes he was elected on – he is as metaphorically illegitimate as those he seeks to topple.

An interesting set of events are sure to proceed as Maduro pleads not guilty to drug charges, Cilia Flores alleges that she sustained 'significant injuries', and Delcy Rodríguez is sworn in as Venezuela's interim president.
January 5, 2026 at 7:29 PM
Marco Rubio has said that what happened in Venezuela "was not the kind of mission you can do Congressional notification on".

This "mission" has occurred for more than 48 hours, meaning that Trump broke the War Powers Act.

Trump has announced that "It's going to be the people standing right behind me... running it [Venezuela]".

According to Trump, Rubio, Hegseth, and other appointees will "run" Venezuela...

Maduro is – or now was – the illegitimate leader of Venezuela, who engaged in electoral fraud, human rights abuses, corruption, and more.

Donald Trump has ignored all forms of legal process capturing Maduro with illegal strikes on Venezuela. He must equally be indicted and impeached.

It is important to note that Donald Trump has referred to the 'Monroe Doctrine' in his press conference.

The Monroe Doctrine clarifies that the Americas are not open to European interference or colonisation.

The factor of colonisation in this matter is shocking – he is illegally taking Venezuela.
January 3, 2026 at 5:02 PM
Donald Trump has just 're-termed' the Monroe Doctrine the 'Donroe Doctrine' – this is not a serious administration.

There is no reasoning in renaming a doctrine addressing colonisation for his self-centred attempts to establish a legacy.

Donald Trump has announced that the US will "Fix the very badly broken infrastructure... the oil infrastructure" of Venezuela through "running" the nation.

He is taking over a country for aspects very reminiscent of violent colonialism.
January 3, 2026 at 4:49 PM
Trump has announced that his government is "prepared to do a second wave" of strikes on Venezuela.

This is an unconstitutional, illegal attack.

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.
