It is certainly a vast departure from NG 1-2 NES; floaty jumps, less "bullshit" deaths, reduced damage boosting to name a few that stand out to me.
Being able to see what the power-up is before you slash it is a huge QOL benefit that you will notice if you go back to 1-2.

Layer 1 of offense in sf6 is very powerful. In previous iterations being able to dart across the screen quickly and be plus after was limited to things like Cody EX zonk.
Or you were minus like with Honda and Boxer.
It’s “more balanced” sure. You have to grind a ton to fight layer 1.
