Hey @bsky.app, can you please not do this shit?

Why are companies behind apps so pretentious they think it’s even okay to ask their users to upload the data of other people?

If the USS Voyager had a Japanese crew, they would have not allowed Neelix & Kes on board: they would have politely told them what those two isn’t their problem by saying they take care of themselves first, give them some supplies in exchange for their services, and left them behind.

Well, I caught a cold.

I’m in bed. Not dying, but tired, recovering, and want to be cozy.

The embarrassing moment earlier when the mailman and the food delivery guy arrived at my for at the same time. 😅

Now I’m watching The Snow Queen (1957).

Proud to say I’ve finally migrated my RÉMINO Bits blog from Middleman 4 (Ruby) to Astro 5 (JavaScript). Done by hand, with reusable components I’ve made from other migrations, and some with AI (Codex GPT-5). Time I finally write a new article or two. 😅

TIL the WHATWG HTML specs do specify links with #top as pointing to the top of the page. html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/br...

Yeah that made me jump…

The Back to Top button is weird, and only necessary because most users don’t know better. It’s the same size than profile icons, it clutters the feed, and yet you can simply tap the top status bar of iOS to scroll back to the top.

Well, that earthquake tonight was a surprise.

Liquid Glass? What about Liquid Chrome?

I don’t care if you’re trans—it’s bullying and you’re acting like an asshole. The operator of that machine is probably someone paid a low wage and perhaps can’t even do other jobs. Whoever asked for a delivery probably needs it. So why act that way?

Toying with `text-grow` to automatically adjust the font-size of every line of text in a block. The opposite `text-shrink` also exists. Works only in Chrome at this time.

Loved listening to Steve Kaufmann and Gabriel Silva talk in 8 languages. Makes me want to continue my childhood dream of being a polyglot.

My station added colours on their wicket displays. Now you can pay in shades of trans flag or CGA palette 1.

Fun fact: “Vite” and “site” do NOT rhyme. The Vite docs actually do say how it’s pronounced and it’s French for “quick.” Yet so many people miss that…
December 2, 2025 at 1:52 PM
Seeing people reposting “Why Vite starts on port 5173?”…

Yes, it looks like it spells VITE with some Roman numerals.

But some also claim it looks like SITE.

It’s not official. There’s no mentions of it in the docs.

The best time calculator is built into @raycast.com. Why is such a feature so rare? How many calculators are out there unable to calculate time? You’d think it was more common…

Migrating sites from Middleman 4 to Astro 5 and extracting shared logic into a monorepo for DRY and to avoid a maintenance nightmare. Codex is excellent for that. @verdaccio.org’s local npm registry and proxy (shown below) is a huge help too!

In iOS 26.1, turning on Low Power Mode will make the seconds arm in the Clock app icon tick instead of moving smoothly.

Sucks. I liked using the gh copilot plugin sometimes to quickly generate a terminal command. Guess it makes sense to deprecate it in favour of their new Copilot CLI though.

Ten years ago, a developer at the public French Canadian broadcaster, sent test notifications by mistake to production instead of internally. They quoted his reaction:

So if I automate my work with scripts, copy snippets, use autocomplete, or implement libraries I didn’t write, it’s fine.

But if I touch vibe coding, I’m the worst developer ever and my 30 years of experience count for nothing?

Getting tired of that double-standard bullshit…
