Someone like @theonion.com needs to set up a Lizz Truss-style lettuce (or pumpkin) and see if Trump can outlast it.

Really.

"Sir, we just destroyed a drug boat on your orders."

"On my orders?"

"Yes! Your strong, brave orders!"

"Oh!"

"Also, you wanted to sign this pardon."

"I did?"

"It's for a rich Honduran, imprisoned wrongfully."

"Rich?"

(glances at briefcase) "Very rich."

"OK."

"Good boy-I mean, President!"

Have you tried crunchy garlic? Put this tuff on stir fry, poké, whatever. It's spoon-in-your-mouth-delicious.

You will thank me.

Shout out to @smith.senate.gov for being one of the Founding Mothers of the Senate Dem Fight Club!

Tina is the kind of Senator that I almost never need to call because I know she is *dead f*cking on* with nearly every issue. I trust and appreciate this woman so much.

Could we get a handsome Mexican immigrant, with a winning smile and a solid gold sombrero to visit the White House and let himself be sprayed with perfume, por favor?

Did a radio interview this morning about my recently published young adult novel. The questions from the interviewer were not as substantive or lengthy as I had hoped.

If anyone is interested in either of my novels and would like to visit on a podcast, let me know. We will have a good time.

1/2: In light of our Government encouraging the Coast Guard to display nooses & swastikas, I'll share this story:

I inherited this from my father last year. His old Vet friend had taken it from a dead NAZI soldier & gifted it to him. Dad was a WW-II buff.

I kept it in the side table by the bed.

As long as Larry Summers is in the news, here’s what Ben Franklin wrote about Harvard.

In 1722.

Attended the 140th commemoration of the killing of Louis Riel by the Canadian government, and not only was Wab Kinew there, addressing the group in *three* languages, but Prime Minister Mark Carney showed up & spoke in a tremendously symbolic gesture of reconciliation.

In the year 613 CE, Brunhilda of Austrasia, after a life of scandal & murder, was paraded, naked, atop a camel through the streets of Renève. She was tortured for three days, then her limbs were tied to several horses who tore her to pieces.

The parts were burned & scattered to the wind.
