Thiel got citizenship in New Zealand in 2012 and purchased a large tract of land with abundant water that was a former sheep outpost. Bought a house in nearest town, presumably to stay while constructing in land tract….had a panic room built in.

If someone could tell my amygdala to take a seat right now, that would be cool. It’s awfully loud and drowning out my frontal lobe pretty consistently.

I have had two such conversations in the past few days. It is taking everything in me to remain calm, kind and curious but it helps to remember these people are feeling betrayal beyond what they know what to do with. If I can help them reason, it doesn’t mean I have to forgive.
