My sage cutting finally has a root!
I used a twist tie suspend it in a shot glass, then attached the shot glass to a small plate and the small plate to the windowsill with museum wax. Propped a plastic snack bag partway over it.
Why museum wax?
Because cats, specifically Max.

Yesterday, we walked my mother home.
Her pallbearers were my daughter, my husband, and my brother and his three sons.

Pure wool afghan made 60 years ago by Grandmother Cameron. Soft, warm, durable. She gave it to me because I loved it so much. I feel her love whenever the cold weather starts. She and my Grandmother Ward were safe havens of affection and love away from my parents.
