im pretty strongly of the opinion that fab is less swingy than it was when i started playing (t0 tomeltai, rake, rain razor 3oak, basically every toa hero text and chane/prism all created piles of non games) but i 100% agree about the fridges. come backs become so much harder in the face of 10 armor

see theyve added more variance mechanics (clash) this is true but im just not convinced theyve actually introduced more variance as a whole. iyslander & oldhim vs katsu were always completely doomed if your opponent knew how to play them. my first ever rtn i got wacked for 26 turn 0 three years ago
