The year-end issue of the Beano features a cartoon about Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos escaping Earth to live amongst the stars, but not before stealing our air and water to take with them.

Don’t worry, there’s a happy ending! 🧵
Rachel Reeves will boost Farage and his fascist friends - by delivering a budget built on a dangerous fairy tale.

It's the household budget analogy. The dirty secret of every billionaire-friendly government since Thatcher.

Iceland did something after the 2008–09 crash that the US, UK and EU pretend is impossible as Trump and his vile ilk ride rough shod over our democracies.

It confronted and punished its corrupt bankers and failed politicians.

And rebuilt a fairer society from the rubble. 🧵

Jeffrey Epstein continued to wield power and influence at the highest levels of global politics even after his conviction for soliciting prostitution from a 14-year-old.

Our society is deeply sick. But we don't have to be ruled by pedophiles, narcissists and sociopaths.

Sounds good to me.

Corruption and nefarious activities ( eg. Robodebt)
will continue when there are zero consequences.

Between the Epstein emails and the Panama Papers it’s now painfully clear how the world works.

The question is: what are we going to do about it?

This is the unbelievable story of the man who said those famous words, Frederick Douglass.

Once every 20 years or so, the director-general of the BBC is forced to resign for being insufficiently rightwing. Alastair Milne in 1987. Greg Dyke in 2004. Tim Davie in 2025. The great irony is that the BBC was in all cases profoundly biased towards established power. But just not biased enough …

A revolution started in the UK today.

To disrupt the disinformation and division of the billionaire media standing between us and another and better world.

You can be part of it.

Agreed @owenjones.bsky.social

And the current dying and billionaire-captured incarnation of Labour would claim that the man on the street has no time for the socialist policies that powered Mamdani's victory.

bsky.app/profile/redh...
Absolutely insane.

Labour would have purged and smeared someone like Zohran Mamdani.

Wes Streeting's politics align far more closely with Andrew Cuomo.

The lessons from Mamdani are about how to defeat both the right - and the bankrupt "centre".

Oh no!

Zohran Mamdani's victory in New York has let the billionaire cat out of the bag.

EVERYONE in the US & UK wants the socialist goodies he's offering - and the game's up for capitalism.

The idea that Zack Polanski is charismatic is a red herring. Yes he knows how to communicate but it’s not charisma that draws people to him; it’s saying common sense, decent things that many of us believe but other politicians have been weirdly reluctant to say.
Sir John Curtice - Indepedent pollster - confirms what we all already know.

The Labour Government need to stop doing everything Farage wants them to do.

The much bigger challenge to Keir Starmer is the Green Party.

Lower bills. Tax billionaires.

Good advice - but we also need to change the system that elevates the narcissists, the sociopaths, the manipulators to the top.
Any young person who's trying to figure out manipulative patterns and behaviors, would be well-advised watch videos of Mike Johnson with the sound off – and then listen to him with audio only. He's a quintessential high-manipulative personality. Stay far, far away from anyone who reminds you of him.

3 things Starmer could do instead of camps in old barracks that would actually WORK👇

1. Create safe, regulated routes to apply for asylum in the UK

2. Let asylum seekers WORK & support themselves

3. Fast track status for people from obviously unsafe countries
