I understand. I am an environmentalist. I am not in favour of fossil fuel development and pipelines.(Tar sands should never have been developed).I am worried about climate change.I lived in BC during the summer of the heat dome and the Lytton fires. Horrible! Oil and gas dark money is hard to fight.

I can’t explain that to you in a SM post, but they are closely aligned with mine as we try to navigate global issues. Politics is a delicate balance in keeping everyone happy while fighting opposing (sometimes evil) forces.

I am an independent voter. Politics in Canada hasn’t been the same since the reform movement. I would rather vote for the Muppets instead of the CPC et al. I tolerated Trudeau because there was no sensible alternative. There still isn’t. We need to stop being instantly outraged without thinking thru

I recommend reading Carney’s book, “Values”, especially Part 3. It gives a better understanding. I’m going to be patient. He has the education and experience. Smith and Poilievre are gnats in comparison.
