No need to defend it if you just do a Fine Gael and pretend the one collaborating never existed.

I doubt the Brits see it that way. Then or now.

Entire bloodstream has been replaced by lemon, clove powder and honey. No whiskey. It does a Henry sellers on me.

I’m all for removing pieces of shit statues. There are a number of them around the country.
November 29, 2025 at 4:57 PM
Is there still? That’s crazy. Didn’t know that thank you.
November 29, 2025 at 4:38 PM
Good man. Im destroyed with the flu at present and I have an actual sick note woulda been there otherwise.
November 29, 2025 at 4:37 PM
Really? And what came of all that? You haven’t heard about Eoin o Duffy at all or his actual collaboration with the Nazis or you’re ignoring it? He seems to be a topic to be ignored with certain people in Ireland particularly those support the party he founded. It’s strange. Verboten if you will
November 29, 2025 at 4:36 PM
Really? There’s Roger Casement on a German sub. Up top center right and them dropping him off in the boat. Wheres the line exactly? Is there an expiry date on Irish ‘heroes’ doing a ‘collaboration’ with Germans? Is buying guns ‘collaborating’? If so our entire independence struggle is fraught with it

She gave you a free pastry? I hope you both swapped Numbers?
November 29, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Really? If you’re talking about him, not a Nazi sympathiser, you’re not talking about Eoin O Duffy or Cosgrave. Both actual Nazi sympathisers. There’s even pics. That’s Cosgrave in the tux. And all surrounding him Fine Gael in their larval stage. Are there o Duffy statues though? Must look into it
November 29, 2025 at 4:15 PM
He’s constantly and regularly platformed across all British media both in print and on radio (LBC in particular) and he’s given free runs unchallenged in all of those appearances. Who is silencing him or cancelling him or giving him a hard time exactly? Other than himself and his own mouth that is

Eoin o Duffy has a statue?

Footnote on the authorship of that Melody Maker review: a bellend, apparently
That's Allan Jones, according to Wikipedia, the enfant terrible of Melody Maker in the mid '70s. Memorable for his reply to Phil Lynott's comment about something being an insult "to my people" - Jones said "which people - the Irish or the darkies?" which still shocks 50 years later; Lynott hit him.

It hasn’t at all. The plants in front of her boobs have already been trampled to bits by gropey bastards.
November 29, 2025 at 9:39 AM
You can do it. Push through.
November 29, 2025 at 7:43 AM
Could be worse! You could be stuck in Limerick junction!

Are the usual moaners and hysterics screaming ‘reshoots! This film is doomed!’ yet?
November 29, 2025 at 6:50 AM
Ohhh. I’m probably in detention

@profanity.accountant do your thing!

I left Facebook last year and lost touch with a heap of people, that pal included so I can’t ask her to get more specific about it, sorry. But if I bump into her over Christmas and remember, I’ll ask her for more specifics. Keep an eye on your notifications!

Irelands got a serious tax exempt/subsidy thing for films&tv production and post and all that. They probably only had to do one or two things here to avail of it. I see the Irish film board logo at the end of random things like the Mandalorian and Andor etc and they weren’t made here so ..

We’re off to Bonniedoon!
November 29, 2025 at 4:47 AM
No idea but I met that pal in 2003 so it was before that? But when no idea. Probably makes sense it was Ireland standing in for Britain though.
