I knew it'd be a quartet, to pay homage to Tamora Pierce's amazing quartets. I had rough outlines for each book--and by "rough," I mean, "book 3 is their wedding! :D " and that was about it. I figured the rest out along the way!

HA! I started writing Kianthe and Reyna before I began dating my now-wife, but I can confirm our marriage is basically the same... minus the dragons and elemental magic, sadly. Plenty of tea, though. :D

My jaw *dropped* when I saw the gold sheen on this cover. Holy cow. O.O
