My #sparkbird, the Red Whiskered Bulbul. They’re native to Southeast Asia and came here with/as immigrants. California tried to eradicate them in the 80s, but protesters won out and now we’re one of just two places in the country where you’ll find them and their beautiful songs.

New #bird for me! Male Western Tanager in his breeding plumage at the upper fountain. Hopefully migrating back to the Rockies to find a mate. Go get ‘em, tiger!
