I really did run away from the circus to become an artist. I’m also a freelance marketer for arts organisations and artists. UK based.

Good morning! I’ve just finished Fundamentally by Dr Nussaibah Younis.

A story about rehabilitating ISIS brides in Iraq doesn’t sound very cheerful, but it’s very funny, highly original and totally fearless. I thought it was brilliant! (It’s quite rude & irreverent, so not for everyone I’m sure!)

The moon is bright enough tonight to capture some scenes with my phone. Particularly pleased to get the lights of the tractor that just powered past!

I’m part of an art project called Artlandish, which is about to open in Hereford, UK.

We’ll be creating a series of exhibitions that change each week in an empty shop. This is Chris Plant’s projection based work, up in the space for our first event.

In return, Sun will receive a banana and a roll of duct tape, as well as a certificate of authenticity and instructions on how to install the work – including how to replace the banana, should they want to.

I’m reading Ghostland by Edward Parnell. It’s a journey through the ‘haunted country’ of the East of England, as remembered through the ghost stories that the author has read, or watched on film. It’s well written and a really good story. Much to enjoy.

I’m three chapters into Haruki Murakami’s Norwegian Wood and it’s really drawing me in to a different time and place in an engaging way.

Finished the first book of 2024, which is a history of a witch trial in New England in the 1600s. Absolutely fascinating and very well told - The Ruin of all Witches by Malcolm Gaskill.

I'm new here, so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a visual artist, making animations and installations that are about memory, people and their stories. I also do arts marketing, supporting arts organisations and artists to get their work out to people. Looking for cool arts people to follow ✨
