The French PM had to threaten to cut off supply chain of food, medical supplies, etc if the UK govt would not cease passenger traffic across the channel when most of Europe were erecting road blocks at their 'invisible' borders.
Johnson, only grudgingly, conceded because of food security.

A Trump Administration Intelligence Officer is something of an oxymoron.

Channel 4's Summerwater jumps straight in with the drama at quite an intense pace. Everyone is rather angry but insular when amongst others. There is tension & release aplenty.
A couple of art direction motifs recur which, me being me, I take to be in reference to these.

Got very nice bottle of red from local wine merchants which was both organic & unfiltered. It was also something of a rarity & mid-range priced for UK market.
We need more UK demand for this. And to stop treating good land use as a luxury commodity rather than a given at everyday pricing.

Pleased to find the Notting Hill Music Exchange still operational, on this afternoon's jaunt around old haunts.
So I bought £20 worth of CDs which I intend to sit & listen to properly (via an old-ish PlayStation4 & older 5.1 surround amp). Might get through the rest of alphabet on next visit.

Could someone please check just who was underwriting this shadowy mariner?

Was over on facebook & goodness me, the adverts are never-ending bullshit.
This is just too depressing a product to contemplate.
Seems intended to make working from home feel like driving a truck all day.
I assume one side is left transparent so your noisy family can see you slowly dying inside.

With summer time ending this weekend our house spider has relinquished his autumnal window display for a more direct, Divali-tinged, leaf-based, mandala-esque, celebration of light.
Other festivals/spiders are available.
(Colourful rice grains being in short supply round these parts).

Yes, it is an AI generated image but I guess neon-wire human brains are hard to find for a studio shoot. Anyway, 12 Watts huh?

I had a massage the other day after a gap of over a year & felt I had to apologise to practitioner as it must have been 'tough going' dealing with the 'body as a temple' equivalent of Siam Reap's modern era re-discovery.

Living as we do in a poncey retail desert, devoid of Lidl or Aldi in any sort of walking/cycling distance, I've grown annoyed with every bakery cake item being lathered in a cap of icing.
Now, Waitrose Weekend does a full page of this travesty of Madeleines.

I have been reliably informed this is a pigeon egg. Which resolves that enigma from many years of previous urban living.
