I imagine many different slogans, which could all be interchanged…
A sandwich is not a weapon.
The hoagie guy is not a criminal.
“You can’t hurt a bullet-vested soldier with a sandwich. Unless he’s really really really hungry.”

Manufacture worldwide outrage at how the simplest, silliest, most mundane and ridiculous act of peaceful protest could result in such an overblown response.
It would be kind of like a taunt for federal law-enforcement and proud boy ICE-wannabes.

He’s too smart not to have known this. Genius.
We owe it to him to create a massive ongoing protest movement as silly and fabulous as his free speech prank.

And you know, he knew this. This guy, a civil servant , was reasonably outraged. He chose the most mundane, unserious peaceful-ish form of action: bounce like a toddler in front of a fully armed federal agent, forcefully toss a sandwich then

Honestly, that guy’s fabulous action is just made for a meme, but even better for large scale ongoing “outrage number one” on the order of the Epstein files. I mean really, we should keep the hoagie guy and his fling in the news for months. It’s got legs!

So you’d hold up the hoagie or you’d put a hoagie flag on your house. Or just wrap a shoe in butcher paper and carry around instead of a sign.
