Vaishnavi Jayakumar became Instagram’s head of safety and well-being in 2020, and discovered that Meta had a policy governing accounts engaged in “trafficking of humans for sex” that allowed 16 violations before suspension. Jayakumar testified that this was “a very, very high strike threshold.” /3
