I was trying to remember a Canadian horror film from the 70s I saw on TV. I was absolutely convinced it was called The Pict but it's actually called The PYX. It was clearly the Christopher Plummer lets his hair down era.

We got a DVD at the library for "Hamlet at Elsinore" a 1964 shot on location in Denmark starring Christopher Plummer, Robert Shaw, Michael Caine and a very young Donald Sutherland valiantly attempting a Scottish-sounding-Norwegian accent as Fortinbras.
