Exactly. Any new owner will have their thoughts on a manager. IF we sacked HP who'd take over with new owners weeks away? HP has the chance to 'audition', albeit with no resources. I'm not sure he's blowing new owners away with what's happening, but he took on an impossible job and deserves better.

It's like watching a cup game between teams 2 divisions apart every weekend.

We don't lack effort, or organisation, and occasionally we might spring a shock if luck goes our way. But ultimately we just completely lack the quality for this level in both boxes. #swfc

There was some doubt when I woke up at 6am lol.

Luckily, Ben Stokes is just a different species...

2 day Test match incoming?

This is a huge bugbear of mine in general and you see it everywhere.

Where does it end? Mega-uber-ultra-mahoosively- long (or short, or high, or low).

It's meaningless, ridiculous and unnecessary.

*differentiation. Typing too fast lol

We showed something similar a few (more than a few, now) years ago in differentiating ESCs where 1st steps of differententiation were to 'degrade proteins', while the regulatory processes that provide stability in a new cell state (chromatin structure, mRNA levels) took much longer to be detectable.

My guess is plasticity. If you (as a cell/organ) want to respond fast, degrading stuff that's already there is faster than opening chromatin, making RNA, then making new stuff.

Brains are important first responders and need to react quickly to e.g. stresses. Makes sense they'd evolve that way.

To me that just sounds like 2 poor experiments, albeit they're poor for 2 different reasons.

FWIW, a 25 v 25 is probably OK for larger differences. Retrospective power calculations are helpful..

Bodies who can ensure that the younger players dont have to play 90mins of every game would help. Experienced players who can teach, coach, lead by example also help.

Its not about results to stay up. But IF we can start picking up wins it also breeds confidence in players for next year. #swfc

Amazing. Congratulations!

I'm sure the experiments are fine, and there's information there about disease process/mechanism/biology.

But we need to be realistic about the difference between a useful biomarker vs. something that is probably higher on average or else the field just gets polluted and reputationally damaged.

This is an "at least the trains run on time" arguement, isn't it...

History repeating 🤦
