Saw this and immediately said "OMG is this in Portland? Because that's so #Portland." And then I recognized the Civic Food Mart on N Albina & Rosa Parks Way, so yeah... It *is* so Portland.

"Manosphere."

I actually adore the term "Manosphere" because, as a word, it so perfectly describes the concept of simply existing in the most self-important yet low-effort and obtuse way possible. It rolls off the tongue with promise of purpose, then immediately fails to land.

I mean... who among us hasn't, at one time or another, gotten stuck inside an enormous vagina sculpture? I can't judge him, and neither can you.

My auction ended at $780 and I lost.

But did I?

$780 plus the 12% auction fee is $873.6. That works out to $54.60 per unit. My last three eBay purchases sold for $48.81, $48.54, $45.40, all with free shipping to my home. I think I'm coming out […]

I have been informed that, among school children, the "R-slur" now means "Republican" instead of... that other thing, and my brain is having trouble filing this one away. 😵‍💫

The missus and I have taken the kids out to celebrate BYODCP (buy your own darn Christmas presents). They've each got a budget and they have to wrap their haul as soon as we get home. I kind of feel like a genius right now. Not gonna lie.

...Having escalated from "trolling eBay for good deals in onesy-twosies" to "bidding on equipment lots on government surplus sites," it becomes clear that I have a problem.

Also, please don't bid against me. I need this. 😂

High on the list of "things I love about my family" is the fact that random strangers are always welcome at holidays and gatherings. Zero questions asked, no awkward permission-seeking required. If you find someone that's alone for Thanksgiving and wants to borrow the family, it's already done.

Thanks to all the 7th gen i7 office PCs flooding the secondary market due to Win11 incompatibility, you can build a pretty great "#steammachine" for about $100 in eBay parts like... now. An SFF Optiplex 7050 with an OEM RX640 and NVMe running #bazzite is pretty dang great […]

Interesting. This is a pretty major upset for #scouts and #scouting norms. That said, as an Eagle Scout and the father of a child in the program, cutting ties is 1000x better than this government deciding they want their own Hitlerjugend. It could always be worse […]

No I don't have a "pro account," sir. This is a Home Depot. If I was a pro, I would be purchasing better lumber at better prices elsewhere.

Hi. I'm Ryan. I'm addicted to purchasing inexpensive micro PCs with 7th gen i5 processors. It's been... a few minutes since my last purchase.

Great shirt from @Vivaldi. Replace "tab management" with "#wcag" and I'd buy one in every color and wear them every workday.

No, eBay. It didn't "get away," it sold for well over my valuation and I wasn't about to chase the thing. Patience is a buyer's best weapon. But hey, good for the seller. A nice treat for them.

Next.

This year, say "happy birthday" with a problematic cookbook from 1954. 😬

Yikes.

Here's an idea, Australia. If Meta can't meet this requirement for under-16s, ban it outright. All of it. Facebook, Instagram... the lot. You just might find that what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
