i believe the development of both the game and the animated series started in the same year, and the game engine of choice being java was due to the fact ankama is solely focusing on 2.5D turn based MMO (that is Dofus), so yea it's not 1:1 to that

to this day i still held a deep grudge on numerous people for contributing the mental + emotional damage i had to go thru last year, and don't want em near ten feet range even when they claim they "changed for the better"
