I've no doubt they do given their ideal habitat. Noticeable they seem to like growing alongside Parsley Fern in Snowdonia.

Looks like they both arrived on these shores from the Antipodean Islands around the same time, no doubt competing for similar habitat.

They're a dazzling Moth to observe, especially when the Sun is shining, and unlike Cistus Forester which invariably heads for Yellow flowers, The Forester almost always frequents Purple varieties. As you say though never easy to track down though, this one was high up on an Iron age Hillfort.

I shall keep a look out for it on Battlesbury Hill when I visit there in mid June.

Thank you, much appreciated 😀👍. They certainly are incredibly difficult to photo, Northern Tigers especially as the slightest ripple of sand within 10 feet of them, they're off!! It took quite a few hours to photo these, but eventually I had a lucky break.
