Love both comics and Manga, just give me a good story. Casual gamer, prefer rpgs, beat em up, or mech simulaters. We need more giant robots and kaiju in games.

Possibly tho the godzilla anime could have been in creation stages after the hype from Kaiju no 8 season 2. Then perhaps IDW came in with the pitch for Kai Sei era and they saw it as an opportunity to test the waters since the comic could be produced faster than the anime.
