Grumpy old man. Vinyl and CD accumulator. MCFC season ticket holder. Married to the long suffering @citytrish.bsky.social
Yes. This and Allo Darlin’ are the only certs on my list. Pretty thin on the ground after the 1980-1984 fest.

4) Nick Drake - Bryter Later

Hoping the next semi is a little easier, but I doubt it.

Ian, It’s probably my favourite Bowie album. I still remember John Peel playing it in its entirety in January 77 just before it was released.

My nailed on No. 1

Totally agree. Stranded was the first Roxy album I bought on release. Not a bad track on it. Country Life I found a little patchy.

It’s up there. It was the second Bowie I saved my pocket money for after Ziggy. All my friends were into Yes, Floyd, Purple and Sabbath but they were impressed with Ronson’s guitar playing on it. Greatly underrated musician.

Top of my list followed by Station to Station. Picking numbers 3 to 5 is going to take some work.
January 20, 2025 at 7:38 PM
Wow. I thought the first semi final was tough. Really going to be difficult to get it down to just five.
