Extremely hard to do astro back home in the east coast, and just as hard to bring my trackers and telescopes to the desert!

I normally do, but I’m very familiar with the papers I used for these prints so I didn’t need to this time

(I believe DAS charge like $5 for it & they often print proofs on the spot)

This is a composite of 2 images by 2 cameras, taken at the exact same time, & location

They have come a very long way since, consider checking them out again!

These images were all from this past June! Some days, the smoke was so bad we could see ash raining down and covering the ground, cars etc

Hopefully none of the fires we encountered are still active

Capture One is much better in my opinion!

The way it renders RAWs and handles colours is just a dream to work with

I switched two years ago and am extremely happy!

All across our path from Denver to Las Vegas…wildfires everywhere. Heartbreaking.

Glad you were safe down in NM! Been many years since I’ve paid the state a visit. Very overdue for a shoot there!

At the time of the image, the largest fire in the area was the Dragon Bravo fire that destroyed the North Rim of the Grand Canyon + the surrounding forests, including ones in Southern Utah.

Hahaha yeah hopefully I can get it sorted before my trip! If not…maybe I can be cheeky and borrow a buddy’s, though not sure how happy they’d be with me taking it to the Canadian Tundra for a month 🤣

It’s the filter, but my camera has had the sensor astro modified, so the bigger issue is getting a fix before I have to leave for my next trip and not so much the cost 😅

It’s been a very rough week hahaha

I already have two A1’s, they should be giving me that A7RV for free 🤣🤣
