The only alternative on itch was disabling the whole comments section altogether. No option to just disable links. I wonder what kind of strategy the spammers will move to once more people learn this CSS trick.

It's still not ideal since it disables ALL links and you still have to delete the message manually, but at least it doesn't leave your page with a malicious hyperlink on display for hours until you notice.
