Yes. Hate to go all psychology. But like I said, I don’t think he developed a self. He’s desperate for connection. and he’s resentful of ppl (the elite) that haven’t accepted him. He’s similar to T in this respect. T from the outer boroughs is desperate for the elite of manhattan to accept him.

He’s trying on different southern accents now. There’s a reason he changed his name a half dozen times. he’s a chameleon. No grounding virtues/deep beliefs. Not a psychopath but not a full person. (also, listening to the comedian Leanne Morgan last night. is the TN accent a stronger TX accent?)

Humans are no different than cavemen. after 100s of 1000s of yrs, the enlightenment birthed a new tech, a way to control irrational, emotional thinking into a more productive method. Science, empiricism and the concept human rights. All at odds with our instincts. that world is collapsing.

I think it’s rather more hopeful to understand we have always been broken nation. That the past was always terrible. our struggles brought progress. We aren’t restoring anything. We are continuing the American tradition of hard won progress, generation by generation.

1st they will have to focus group this shit for 2 wks. They’ll find out it didn’t have lasting impact cuz no dem politician made any case for it being T‘s fault, or that it’s a political stunt thats getting ppl shot.

the sad part is MAGA will use the nationality of the shooter to ramp up violent rhetoric, and expand the power of trump’s burgeoning para-military. that asshole shooter just hurt a lot more ppl than those that he shot.

listened to pam keith former JAG on a pod clarified a lot. disobeying an unlawful order is a very narrow thing. it’s for when an order is clearly a crime, and it has to be a crime that you are personally, directly asked to commit. it’s not simply a moral objection.

now if some dem politicians had any skills whatsoever they could use this to end these deployments. seize the opportunity, but that would require not waiting a couple of wks to see how focus groups respond. get out there today and blame the prez for putting ppl in harms way unnecessarily.

not true. many have written very frank and honest books about it. many others have written articles, and discussed it openly on podcasts.
